In Lillam there was a small hub that had a dhaba, hotel, well stocked store of ‘Chachu’, ration shop, dispensary (Homeopathy) and a few rooms that housed the store owner, doctor and a head master of a Intermediate school/college that was across on the other side of the mountain river in Kumaon, Uttara Khund, India.
This was just one outlet for villagers from far and wide in that area. Every tourist had to stop over to catch some rest. The ladies were from the village opposite this place across the river.
