Ecuador: the little giant is a country rich of contrasts, energy and beauty. Time flows differently from the west, the colors are more saturated, the lifetime is slower than our. In the morning, for “desayuno” (the breakfast) you can eat a very good crab soup… And you can find a fisherman who proudly shows its prey on the beach to boast of the capture. Then he sells the shark for $ 100, almost corresponding to half average monthly salary in Ecuador. The scene is surreal, but only for the occidental point of view accustomed (perhaps too much) to a “normal everyday living”.
